In addition to the $70 fee per test, you will also be charged an administration fee by the CLEP testing center. This fee varies for each test center, but is usually about $15. You should contact the test center you plan to take your CLEP exams from to find out what their administration fee is.
The military pays for CLEP exams for members of the military.
CLEP fees must be paid with credit card, check, or money order. Checks and money orders should be made payable to "College-Level Examination Program".
It is possible to take a paper and pencil exam. You will need to contact CLEP directly in order to sign up for a paper exam. These exams cost $120. Your scores will be sent out to you within 2 to 3 weeks upon taking a paper and pencil CLEP exam.
