CLEP Scores
In most cases you will know your CLEP score before you leave the test center. In fact, for all the CLEP tests except the English Composition with Essay exam, you will receive your scores instantly.
The scores range from 20 to 80 (with 80 being the highest). Each college gets to decide how high of a score you need to CLEP-out of a college course.
You can decide who you want to send your score to (i.e. college, employer, etc...) on exam day. Alternately, you may obtain a CLEP transcript at a later date to send your scores to the institute of your choice.
CLEP transcripts cost a nominal fee. These transcripts show all the CLEP scores you have earned in the last 20 years. You may mail in a form along with your payment or call a toll free number in order to request CLEP transcripts.
Provided you have not yet seen your score report, you may cancel the exam. Your scores for that particular CLEP exam will not be reported as long as you have not yet seen your score report.
CLEP scores should not be compared from one to another as all the exams are developed independently. They are also not comparable to the SAT or ACT exam.
