The GED Social Studies Test covers the following topics:
American history 25%
Civics and government 25%
Economics 20%
Geography 15%
World history 15%
Many of the GED social studies questions use graphs and charts that may even require some basic math to arrive at the correct answer. There are also questions based on images or photographs.
You will have 70 minutes to answer the 50 questions on this test. You will need to read a short passage and then choose the answers from a multiple-choice format.
Many GED on line resources include GED practice tests. You can prep for the social studies section of the GED by using these. Practice first, then go in and earn your GED!
